I love the seaside
Friends of Surf Guide Algarve actually have a whole series of travel guides with this fitting name. Obviously we are mentioned in the Portugal edition and its super cool to sometimes meet new people trough their book. Shoutout to GJ and his missis! Our new guest drives down in her surf-van and hits us with a message trough the I love the seaside book. Day one we score amazing waves at Porto de Mos.
Dream big surf small
On balance most surfers think they like big waves over small waves and enjoy surfing small waves over big waves. Probably there is reason behind this. Whenever you dream of waves, or look at surf pictures or surf videos, the action is often in bigger waves. Yet, these guys are professionals- making it look too easy. To sum up you can catch a ton of waves in small surf where you can only get a few in big surf. What is your preference? Luckily surf guide algarve takes you to the best waves for your level and we do not really care. Small waves are big fun too. And if we get the chance to surf some bigger waves for a change, we are in for that too.
