From South to West, with Surf Guide Algarve you surf every day!
Suddenly its Christmas time, our favourite time of year. Usually the waves are good, and for some reason most people seem occupied with other things than surfing. Resulting in even more empty waves for us. Obviously you can not have perfect waves every day. Yet we can surf every day and a not-perfect wave is still a lot better then no waves at all, right? Nature putting on an absolute show for us on our way south to Cabanas. Waves also very fun but the highlight will be on the west-coast today where it all comes together. Nature putting on a show
Whenever there is rain in the sky the forecast usually gets a bit more complicated. Local wind can make the waves funky and its hard to predict whats going to happen. One thing is for sure, it makes for a pretty dramatic sky in the morning. On our way to Cabanas Velhas the sky really turns into something so crazy we have to stop and take a picture. In essence we already score before we get wet today. Later the waves turn out to be super fun too and its another surf guide algarve score.
West-side!
Offshore wind, a building swell, but where to go do, the West Coast has many options! As soon as a big period swell fills in we know we have to be careful. Beaches that face directly into the swell will become very heavy. Since we have a new surf guide algarve guest on board we search for a little bit more friendly waves. To sum up, we score again. Private line up, groomed lines rolling in. Powerful enough to shortboard and slow enough for bigger boards. Let the pictures do the rest of the talking, thanks for reading.
