You have got to love the Algarve
Whenever you do not know the algarve and you see the pictures in this blog you might think, that looks epic! In essence, it is. Yet, the fact we surf this session completely alone comes with a price. By and large, the surf in the Algarve is almost never perfect and often a lot more tricky than it looks. On the flipside, you can still score sessions like this with no one out. Plus maybe today you will catch that one wave you always dream off. Incredible backdrops, surf 360 days per year, you have got to love the Algarve.
Chasing the dragon
To summarise what eight years of surf guiding does to a surf guide. Obviously a little better surfer. Second but should be count as first, a very happy man. Proud dad, husband and surf guide. Honestly I do not know what it is that fires me up every day again to go and surf with so much fire and passion. Maybe its just the calling of the ocean. At the same time it might even be an addiction, chasing the dragon every day again. Most likely the most healthy addiction in the world, at least the most fun one.
