Where smoke is Fire, surfing fun clean waves with Surf Guide Algarve
Now that Autumn is finally settled in, the ocean starts to come alive. Opposite from what many people might think, in the Algarve we do not need a lot of swell or period to score good waves. Usually when the big swells hit we need to search for more protected spots. While the exposed West-Coast gets lit-up with big not-surfable waves. Meanwhile we are enjoying the perfect size swell with absolutely zero wind. Knowing where to go is key in these kind of conditions cause you cant actually see the lineup from the beach. Surf Guide Algarve scores two days of surfing with shoulder high perfection on a complete private peak. Where smoke is fire, fun clean waves, enjoy the full story.
Perfect waves
By and large the most surfers will say perfect waves are shoulder to head high with a bit of wall on it. Bigger gets tricky to manage your speed and the paddle gets a real workout in beach break conditions too. By the time the surf guide algarve crew paddles out there is no one in the water. Surprisingly this stays like that for two days in a row. Somehow other surfers seem to have a problem with surfing in the fog, would you?
You have got one shot, and no arms left
By the time one of our VIP- Surf Guide Algarve guests says his arms are falling off and he will take his last one, the waves seem to actually get a bit more hollow. The fog has lifted just enough for some surf-pictures so he swaps his surfboard for the camera. As soon as he is in position a beauty rolls in and I get a nice cover-up for the photo. All for the perfect shot right? Stoked and exhausted we get changed and plan our next surf adventure. If you want to join click here!
