Surf Guide Algarve, we will bring you to the best spot for your level!
Indeed, at the right time at the right spot. Like almost every day. Yet every day is a little bit different. Surf Guide Algarve is challenged by the elements but also by our guests. What can be a dream wave for a guy from Australia -for example. Who surfs all his life about 4 times a week. Can be another guys worst session. Matching the right wave with the right person can be tricky! For this reason we always try to filter our new guests as good as we can. With big swells hitting our coastline we look for some protection. Hopefully you enjoy our adventures as much as we do!
Where the bad road ends, Barranco
As much as we hate the road to Barranco, it is a blessing in disguise. After all, if you are not sure about if the wave will work you will not drive the road. Many people leave the spot for what it is. Surf Guide Algarve loves the place, every single bit of it. Straightaway when you park the car, you will notice different smells, cars, dogs and people. Plus, a very fun wave. Given that it is a bit rude to post other people online without their permission it would be even worse to put them online with no clothes on. So we do not. But for the story, there are many, and they often do not surf, what makes it even better.
Better safe than sorry
Today we wake up with a swell a little smaller then the past days. In order to get some waves before the bad wind picks up *from a wrong direction, we gamble on the low tide. Beliche looks doable from the top, so lets go! Of course the waves always look a lot smaller from 30 meter high, but as we are surfing the wind picks up together with a fast pushing tide. Resulting in scary unpredictable waves. Time get out, better safe than sorry. Meanwhile Mareta also starts producing waves. Still in our wetsuits we jump in and get a great small-wave session at a private peak.
