When it all comes together, surfing perfection with Surf Guide Algarve
Someone once told me a long time ago, ‘Its nice to get new guests but its even nicer to keep them coming back‘. I think this was in a restaurant where I was serving tables and seems irrelevant for a surf blog. Yet it is not. Because Surf Guide Algarve celebrates 6 years of existing this year. As can be seen in the blogs we welcome back a lot of our guests time after time again. Some of them actually move here and others just come back to share the stoke once again. Today we share an incredible session with an American surfer that visited us 6 years ago. Plus two VIP guests that come surfing with us all the time.
Three, its a magic number
Jack Johnson even has a song about it. Three is a magic number. Obviously when 3 guys paddle out at the same time it can still feel like a lot, but in general 3 is kind of accepted. With the Surf Guiding we always try to go to less obvious beaches on less obvious times. In this way we surf often empty waves and we are not in the way of other surfers.
When it all comes together
As much as we all dream of big backside barrels, when they are really there it is a different story. In the surf movies you do not see the enormous close out sets. The wipe-outs and the fact the guys in the edits are actually pro-surfers. Sometimes all stars get in line and the Algarve puts on a show. Our guest takes on the camera and mr. Surf Guide Algarve gets a few dream-like barrels *mostly on the head.
Right after this carnage we score some more user friendly waves just around the corner at a beach that catches a lot less swell.
