The Pirate Experience

Come on board and sail with us! There is simply no better way to explore the coastline of the Algarve then by Boat. For this reason, there has been tourist boats showing people the beautiful coastline since 1960. At present time, there is not much adventure left in joining one of the many tour operators. Of course that does not mean you will not have a great experience!
Yet we do things a little different. Just like that Surf Guide Algarve only focusses the business on a very small percentage of the surfers. The Pirate Experience is not your everyday sailing cruise. In the same fashion as we surf at the right place at the right time, we sail when its good. Weather depending we only go out when the conditions are good. Therefore it is important that we can be a little flexible in when we take you on this sailing experience. Read on and decide for yourself if you are ready for this.

Real Sailing

Compared to the modified tourist vessels that can take as many people as possible, this is a pretty small boat. There is space for four. Straightaway you will notice that there is a French flag on the back of the boat. Whats more, the captain is officially French too. And he has a story or two to share about his solo sailing trip from France to Portugal.
Whenever you get on board of the ship, you will experience real sailing. Must be remembered that the captain can sail the boat solo, so no previous experience is necessary. To ensure your safety at all times there are life-vests provided for everyone.

To get to the boat we use Stand Up Paddle boards. In general it gets pretty hot *the wind can be chilly, always bring protecting clothes. We will take the SUP boards behind the Sailboat and if the conditions allow it we can explore the beautiful coastline from a little closer. We also bring snorkeling masks, so you can even take a look under water.

How to book

Are you ready for this? First send us your availability. To repeat, we can only go out whenever the conditions allow us. In case you are here for a few days the chance gets much bigger we can get you on board for the Pirate Experience. The boat is moored in Sagres, pick-up service can be arranged, not included in the price. At this point we only offer the half day experience, the time that we depart and come back will change every adventure. Exact times and place will be discussed with you when the date gets closer.
