Surfing Burgau like never before with Surf Guide Algarve
Compared to all the villages in the Algarve, Burgau must be one of the most pretty. Formerly a little fishermans town, now the small boats mainly serve for decoration. The town literally ends on the beach and with all the colourful houses, bars and restaurants, is absolutely stunning. For the most part of the year this beach does not catch a lot of swell do. Surf Guide Algarve always has it on the raider for when it does produce waves. Today we surfing Burgau like never before. Enjoy the show.
French Imitation
Different from other sports, surfers always try to compare spots and sessions with previous experiences. Obviously every wave is different, but occasionally a wave reminds you a lot on a surf session you had before. Today is one of those days. Burgau does a really good French Imitation, so good in fact I feel like having baguette for lunch.
Offshore wind, punchy waves that are for some reason always a little hard to get into. Brown, green water, the odd barrel. Pure french, without the romantic accent.
What makes a Surf Epic?
As mentioned before, the waves are very important in the epicness of a surf session. Overall there are not many epic sessions without good waves. Besides good waves you need a few more things, good vibes, and if possible a good surf tune to get in the mood. Surf Guide Algarve might have the most impractical surf car in Portugal, but it does have tunes.
In adition to the waves, good vibes and tunes, the crowd plays a huge factor too. They only rock up after we surf our brains out.
