Fast waves and fast cars with Surf Guide Algarve
The type of waves you prefer possibly says something about you as a person. Take my friend Bob, he is not actually called Bob, buy he does shape surfboards under the name Bobs Boards. So in a way it makes sense to call him that, yet we dont. He is the most chilled easy going dude you will ever come across. If he takes off on his 9 whatever longboard with absolutely 0 afford and cross steps to the nose, this only looks right. I do not feel entitled to describe my own personality because you might think something is wrong with me. But I personally like weird heavy waves. Weird with a wedge or a backwash, a barrel, a rock maybe. This story is about two sessions. One on a super score with the surf guide algarve crew and one just sweet *weird surf with the family. Enjoy. Oh and there are fast cars in it too, but we didnt really know about them either.
Ingrina
A beautiful small beach in between rocks. Close to Zavial and Barranco and yet it does not work much more than a handful of days a year. That is maybe why it always is a little special to surf here. But the real reason is that its always very very exciting to surf here. Its by no means an easy wave. Its a fast left breaking over rocks. Because of the small size of the bay there is a crazy amount of current every time the set comes in. Positioning is a nightmare and you 100% do not want to break your leash here. Experienced surfers only. I may not be the best technical surfer in the world but I do surf every day of the year and feel confident enough to get out here. And still you are never feeling comfortable in the water here. Very special to surf this spot alone with my two ladies on the beach.
Beliche
The very next morning its time to share the waves again with the Surf Guide Algarve guests. The swell is a lot smaller and the wind turned a little bit. While the rest of the Algarve is driving around or still sleeping we getting our first perfect waves in a completely empty Beliche.
Ralley Vila do Bispo
Every person has their own obsessions. For sure surfing is a little healthier version but that does not mean there should be no space for others. You can say whatever you want but there is something entertaining about cars that go really fast. Vila do Bispo hosted the annual Ralley with some spectacular moments.*And a lot of noise. The night race was incredible but did shorten our night a little bit. Lucky the waves are on fire to wake us up.
