Surf Guide Algarve keeping up with the Grommets Surfing Burgau
Every so often people ask me, dude how old are you? My standard reply used to be 14, but since a few years they probably think I say 40 and do not laugh and just shut their mouth. Fact is, we can not stop the time, even if we want to. Another fact is that we enjoy every day to the max. So you can call me old but I will always stay a grommet on the inside. With two real gromms around we can test this theory. Are you ready? Surf Guide Algarve trying to keep up with a 10 and 12 year old shredder kids from the Netherlands.
Whats my age again?
Blink 18-what? Kids walking around with Nirvana shirts but having not the slightest idea on who Curt Cobain was or what smells like teen spirit is. I got the biggest joy the other afternoon when one kid played 2pac on his phone speaker, proving I am not that old. Am I?
Stoked as a Grommet
Gromms are just more stoked. And when you add in the occasion that these two are from the Netherlands, you can count that they will possibly only leave the water when its getting dark again. *And we start surfing with sunrise so thats a long day!
