Fun surf at Cordoama and swimming with Pinguins, with Surf Guide Algarve
Pinguins in the Algarve, wait what? Lets start with the surfing part, the pinguins can wait. The Surf Guide Algarve crew has company of a Scottish family. The two girls are basically born on the beach. Dad owns a Langustine Fishing boat and as captain is familiar with the sea too. The first day we shared some smaller waves, so today it is time to get a little more adrenaline. We arrive at Cordoama beach with no one else around. Beautiful mist on the cliffs and no wind. With fun size sets the girls cant wait to get in the water.
Cordoama surf
Cordoama always has a trick up her sleeve. When the rest of the coast line is almost flat, you will still have a good work out to paddle out here. This is exactly what the girls requested so we are in for a blast. Good size head high waves in the sets. Lefts and rights rolling over the sandbank. All the waves you want with no one else on our private peak.
Both of the surf action pictures are actually taken a few days before. The Surf Guide likes to be close to his guests when the conditions are like this. In the end of the session he tries to shoot a few pictures but without luck.
We all got some super fun long waves and when the wind kicks in it is a very good excuse to finally take one more wave. The last wave obviously takes for ever to arrive. When we are all on the beach its time for the well deserved after surf Pastel da Nata.
Swimming with Pinguins
Every day that we are at the beach we pick up as much plastic as we encounter. We try to teach our little princess the things we value. But how can we explain her that we need to be careful with electricity and hot water if she has never seen the animal that is about to extinct because of our behaviour. Lets go to the zoo!
They advertise with beeing a magical place. And it kind of is. We love it and so does our girl. And you can swim with the pinguins too!
