Cabanas Velhas Surfing with Surf Guide Algarve
Its another beautiful day, the sun is shining, the waves are good. Surf Guide Algarve, where do we go? The waves are too big on the west. If its possible something shoulder high with no people would be perfect. We always try not to surf on the most obvious spots. There are a few other surf beaches working at this moment, but lets first try Cabanas Velhas. Surfing is just more fun if you only have to share the waves with one other person.
Great minds think alike
After about an hour and half of surfing there is a small crew getting ready to enter the line up. It is our friend who also offers surf guiding. Although he did not nail the timing as good as we did, he did get the best spot as well. Great minds think alike. I get a great surf photo of his girlfriend performing a text book style bottom turn. The waves are perfect clean and good to work on techniques.
Lagos surf town
At least, if you believe the internet. Many tourists come to Lagos expecting to have surf right on their doorstep. Sometimes you do! Most of the time you dont. Lagos hosts a few beautiful beaches but most of the year you wont find much more action that sunbathing and maybe some kayak adventures. Lagos is a nice city to stay do. Full of restaurants, bars, an old town thats a must-visit. And it has a few really good surfshops. They are all friends but one of them helps Surf Guide Algarve a little bit more. Time to have a sunny afternoon with the two ladies and pick up a new Surfboard at Jashakah surfshop.
