Pictures or it did not happen, scoring with surf guide algarve
In the end we all surf just for ourselves. A feeling only a surfer can understand, very hard to understand and even harder to put into words. Chasing the feeling, over and over again. Triggered by the ride but also the build up, the hope, and for sure all the tough moments you been trough to get here. Once it all comes together its there again, the feeling of stoke. Looking over the edge onto an empty line up with perfect waves. Finishing a nice wave while your buddy paddles back out. Feelings that last for a moment but fade away in time. That is why it is sometimes nice to have a picture of that exact moment. Surf Guide Algarve is by no means a photographer but with a little help of the guest we sure scoring some cool pictures. Pictures or it did not happen!

Another one bites the dust
Whenever you live so closely connected with the ocean you know that she gives and takes. Salt water, sand are a very bad combination for anything electric or mechanic. Cameras really do not like either of the two. To sum up, we already lost 4 cameras in the last few years. Where the last one really hurts. Next to the fact that things are in the end just material, it sucks when it brakes. Replacing our- Not old at all – camera for two new editions. First a water and bump proof camera with low zoom quality but good for every day. Second, a more sensitive camera with a huge zoom that we will only take to the beach on the nicer days. Quiver complete again, lets test them out.

Shall I shoot a few pics?
Today we surf at Cabanas Velhas. Playful waves, no one else in the water, just a fun surf. Due to the shorter period and shifting peaks the waves are not super easy to catch. Luckily the surf guide guests both surf midlength surfboards that help catching the waves. As the morning sun rises one of our guests is satisfied and comes in. Quickly checking in with the girl if all is good, and she replies. Yes of course, maybe shall i shoot a few pics? Since it is extremely difficult to shoot a good surf photo the expectations are low. Yet this surfer girl happens to have the exact same camera and as a surfer, knows where to look, and when to click. Altogether the result is just epic. Thanks lady!
