In search of friendly waves with Surf Guide Algarve
Just in case you missed it, the Algarve has been pumping. Opposite to the start of winter, we get swell after swell right now. By the time these big waves wrap around the corner of Sagres they often lose a lot of their size and power. Basically creating more options for us to chose from. Surf Guide Algarve is joined by two very VIP‘s and in search of more friendly waves. This story we blend three sessions in one, all south coast adventures, enjoy!
The Algarve at its very best
Overall the winter will always be our favourite time of year. Less people, more waves and nature just blooming- literally. While driving to Porto de Mos in Lagos the sun is climbing over the hills resulting in the most spectacular sunrise. Porto de Mos also showing her pretty side. Offshore waist to shoulder high waves with hardly anyone in the water.
Shared stokes are the best stokes
Obviously surf guide algarve will always try to find empty waves. At the first place we go to spots that are not too obvious. Second we often go early. Sometimes the choices are limited and even we can not control what other people do. If they also wake up early and put in the time, we will end up on the same surf spot. Luckily the crew I am talking about now is a very happy crew of German ‘import-locals‘. Always willing to share the good vibes and stokes. Grateful for everyones good vibes and support.
