Exit stage Left, Surf Guide Algarve on a special mission
As been mentioned before, at the surf guide algarve head quarters we have a thing called VIP guests. Once you come back multiple times and have surfed in all the conditions, you become a VIP. Because it is no secret this is a very good time of year for surfing in the Algarve the agenda is pretty booked. Obviously the vip guests have right of way and so it happens we have 3 returning surfers on the mission. Overall an extra special mission as the Surf Guide is struggling with an ear infection and is not able to enter the water. With pretty much perfect conditions no real drama, the surfboard stays at home and the camera is ready. Exit stage left!
Go hard or stay home
If you did not wipe out, you did not push it hard enough. Words I use a lot. Especially here in the algarve where we surf mostly sand bottom spots the wipe outs are usually not that bad. Next are a father and son both French pro surfers in their own division showing how to wipe-out in style.
Do not judge a book by its cover
Whenever someone paddles out on a softtop surfboard, this can mean a couple of things. From time to time you get surprised what people like to ride. Today the waves are not easy and with plenty of power. Clearly this guy watched enough Jamie o Brian and took notes.
The most VIP of them all
Meanwhile eight years ago we met two dutch surfers on the beach of Tonel. Long story short, they asked to guide them and this is where surf guide algarve started. Both dudes still come back every year, making them without a doubt the most vip of them all. Shared stokes are the best stokes, welcome back amigo!
