Beautiful session at empty Beliche with Surf Guide Algarve
Meanwhile autumn is here, although maybe not as present as in other parts of Europe. We still wear flip flops every day, the shorts are still the go-to item of clothing. Yet there is a little difference. Besides the fact it gets dark earlier and light late, there ate these beautiful objects in the sky making the backdrop even more dramatic then normal. Clouds, turning pink, then orange and when the sun is high and the rest of the world arrives it stops doing its unicorn thing and they turn grey. Surf Guide Algarve gambles on the dawn patrol again and scores a beautiful session at an empty Beliche. Enjoy the story!
Fun waves and good vibes
In the distance there is clearly some bad weather going on. Rainbows fill the sky multiple times during our surf. Because of this water is not perfectly clean and groomed but somehow it seems to keep the crowds away too. Fun waves left and right roll in and with no one to battle we all get plenty of good rides.
How many fins do you really need?
Simon Anderson invented the thruster *three fin, surfboard in 1981 and ever since then it is the most used setup in the water. Until now I have been guilty of choosing quote on quote ‘safe‘ too. Around all my surfboards are thrusters. But how about two? How many fins do you really need? Finally I pick up a little different design surfboard and from moment one completely in love. Today in Beliche a local guy agrees with the twin idea. What is your favourite fin set up?
