Fun session at Amado with no one out with Surf Guide Algarve
Now that the high season summer madness is behind us it feels like a good timing to visit Amado again. In essence this place has a great setup, has consistent waves and is pretty protected from the north wind. Yet with all the surf schools and cafes located right on the beach and a webcam showing the waves it is not really a spot we visit a lot. At the same time, Surf Guide Algarve goes wherever the conditions are best on that day, so today Amado we go. Enjoy the fun session we scored with no one out!
Dawn patrol for the win
Behind the hills the sun begins to rise turning the whole place magic orange. Quickly we paddle out and experience the raw power of the West-Coast. Opposite to the previous days where we surfed small waves with a lot of protection. Good size set waves with a very light wind. Please do remember that it always looks a lot easier on the picture than in reality. Here and there you can find the magic wave, but a lot of close outs too! Luckily a close-out is just a really fast wave, like our Surf Guide Algarve guest is showcasing below. Incredible how she makes the drop. Obviously the best rides are not on the camera, but at least you get an idea of the conditions.
One more wave
Whenever the Surf Guide Algarve guests come back on the beach the conditions still look really fun. Plus there is still no one out. Maybe I take one more wave? We swap the camera and here is the result of the final two waves of the morning.
