Summer is for surfing with Surf Guide Algarve
On this side of the globe summer is in full swing. People from all over, flogging to the Algarve beaches, many of them armed with a surfboard of some kind. In essence summer is not the best time for surfing. At the same time they do call this peak season. Strange if you ask me. Overall we can not complain at all. As been said before, the ocean simply does not go flat down here. With the right mindset, knowledge, timing *and right equipment, there is always a wave to surf. Longboard session
Occasionally the ocean really goes super quiet. Obviously there is a number of things you can do other than surfing but most of the times these are also the most hot days of the year. Whenever its like this, the beach or ocean is the only place you want to be. Time to get the longboard out and make most of these small waves! We set our alarm to make sure we hit it perfect with the tide and score a fun session before the rest of the world arrives.
Super score
Suddenly a fun size swell pops up on the forecast with zero wind. Without hyping it too much, this could be a fun day of surfing. Two surf guide algarve guest join the mission and it is simply a super score. Waves that would not be out of place in a surf-movie. Perfect A frame, long running waves, not a lot of people, sunshine, this session has it all. Luckily both these surfers seen enough of the Algarve to realise it is really special and we surf until our arms really can not paddle anymore. Stoked!
