Surfing small glassy waves on big boards at Cordoama with Surf Guide Algarve
All of a sudden the wind drops and the ocean goes all quiet. At the same time a request comes in from an American dude. He wants to join the Surf Guide Algarve adventure, preferably on a longboard. Timing is everything in surfing, and the timing of this guy is on point. Later we will learn that this also is the case in the line-up. Since Cordoama is a real swell magnet that is where the mission takes us. Surfing small glassy waves on big boards, lets go!
Private Surf Guide on a Private peak
Opposite to the south coast where the spots are a bit more compact, there is a lot of space on the west-coast. With the intention to catch as much waves possible its always nice to find our own peak. choosing our peak and a little walk over the beach we score the waves with no one out. Obviously Surf Guide Algarve knows exactly where the rocks are hidden and where it is safe to surf, you just worry about catching the waves.
Scoring two days in a row
Conditions like this are rare, they often last a few days. Something to do with a high pressure system and some other stuff I will not bore you with. Now that the wind is gone, we need to take full advantage. Loading up the big boards for a second day of longboard fun at Cordoama. Sharing some waves with our friend from Hostel on the hill *a great place to stay if you are in the region. Plus obviously our American guest who really catches the longest waves I have ever seen ridden on this beach.
