Staying in Paradise with Surf Guide Algarve
Overall, we are living in paradise. At the same time it seems easy to forget that sometimes. Currently the wind is howling for days, and the swell is small. Luckily there is a whole lot more fun stuff to do then just surf. And we can still score some fun waves every day! Now that the two Lady Surf Guide Algarves are on a short holiday to the Netherlands, there is even more time to enjoy all that is possible here. You know the saying: When the cat leave the house, the mice dance on the table! So lets kick this one off! Staying in Paradise with Surf Guide Algarve.
Go hard and stay home
Usually we, or maybe I should really be honest here and say I, like to follow the ritm of nature. Wake up early with the sunrise and go to bed early. Being active all day, outside all the time, surfing every day makes up for an active healthy life. In a far away past I used to work in a nightclub and party a whole lot. Currently the only parties we go to are weddings and bbq’s. From time to time it is nice to have a good party do. With the right partner in crime I finally made it for the first time in nearly 10 years to the Pizza Party. Beyond your wildest expectations. Good music, amazing vibes, literally everyone is walking around with a smile, and when the night kicks in, a real party. The water feels a little extra fresh the next morning but after a couple of waves we are awake.
Go where the wind takes us
Without wind, there would be no waves. Yet, the only wind we as surfers really like in the surf, is offshore. As been said before, the wind is pumping. South coast is offshore, but flat. First we score some waves on a sheltered spot on the west coast. Second we have a good siesta to catch up on a few moments of rest. Finally we drive down to the lagoon for some good old kitesurfing action. Armed with a go-pro that proves to be fun the next day in Beliche as well.
The ultimate shelter
Below the high cliffs of Beliche you will find the ultimate shelter for any wind. Today we choose small clean waves over story muchy ones. Small waves can be fun too! Altogether we are on too small boards to get the max out of the Meditarian style waves. Christal blue water, no wind, picture perfect. Suddenly the session gets a new boost when we grab the go-pro.
