The West-Coast Always has a wave, Surfing with Surf Guide Algarve and flying friends
On this side of Europe the ocean almost never goes flat. At the same time, Surfline will tell you otherwise. Most likely that is the reason why there are only a handful of people out in the ocean with us today. As soon as the swell is small we are looking for a more exposed surf spot. Preferable one that has good sandbanks. Since Castelejo worked really well over the weekend, there is a good chance we will find a fun wave there. Offshore wind, bigger boards and a new, fresh of the plane, Surf Guide Guest to share the adventure. The West-Coast always has a wave, surfing with Surf Guide Algarve and some flying (foiling) friends.
You go surf with a Guide
When I pick up our new Surf Guide Algarve guest at her holiday place I meet her boyfriend. Quickly he tells me he also surfs and even is a surf coach. Yet, to not over complicate things and make sure it will be a nice holiday it is a good idea if she takes a surf guide. Now the pressure is on!
Dream waves
Obviously when the wind blows offshore it looks good pretty quick. Whenever the water surface is groomed and the wave has a bit of spray its just pleasing for the eye. But what we find in Castelejo is unexpected. Beautiful waves starting off pretty powerful and going on for ever. Later two of our friends join the session with their surf-foils. Incredible how these dudes just seem to fly above the water. Overall another great morning with a absolutely sub-par forecast.
