Even if there are a number of positive things to say about the summertime in the Algarve, it is not our favorite time of year. Be that as it may, we get spoiled by a couple of epic days. A Grand Finale before nature goes in Summer mode. Joined by two returning Surf Guide Algarve guests we score a session on Cordoama that we will remember for a while. Dream waves in Cordoama
To repeat, the Algarve is not famous for her wave quality. However, we have waves almost every day of the year. To explain, the West Coast catches all the swells, but also a lot of wind. Mixing swells and moving sandbanks are a tricky combo for waves to get real epic. Sooner or later it all lines up do. Today is the day. Offshore wind, a medium sized single swell and Surf Guide Algarve picks the perfect spot somewhere close to Cordoama. Waves better then a dream, the grand finale!
Eat sleep surf repeat
In order to get the absolute most out of this session we surf like there is no tomorrow. Surprisingly we wake up with the wind blowing out of the opposite direction and get a super fun bonus session at Cabanas Velhas. Important to realise that this run of perfect wind really is rare. But we make full use of it!
