Scoring playful West-Coast waves for the whole Surf Guide Algarve crew!
In order to keep true to our own rules and to respect the other surfers around us Surf Guide Algarve only takes 3 surfers maximum. Though this hardly ever happens. Usually we surf with one or two guests. In the event that we do take 3 surfers the conditions need to be perfect for all three and we need to know exactly what their surf level is. Today we have one VIP-guest that surfs with us all the time. He is stoked cause he really wants to try out his new surfboard. Our second guy is a returning guest, a super psyched dude from Sweden. Finally we are joined by a new girl from Austria. As been said before this is only possible with a pretty perfect forecast- and it is. Early Birds
All in all, Surf Guide Algarve loves the morning. By the time most others wake up, we are already getting our first waves. For the most part we do not have to drive around looking where is the best spot. Straight to the best beach at the best tide. Overall surfing alone or with very little people in the water. Early birds getting the waves!
New Surfboard
While it may be true that a good surfer will shred on any piece of floatation and a new surfboard will not make you surf better. We are always on the hunt for the next magic carpet. This time we found a super nice looking board for our friend/VIP Surf Guide Algarve guest. In this situation he buys the exact same model of the brand he already surfs, just a few inches smaller. Generally it takes a few sessions to get used a new stick, but this guy is ripping from the moment he paddles out on it!
