Creating more ocean memories with Surf Guide Algarve
As soon as people find out we are not born in Portugal, there is a couple of questions that follow. Whenever it is someone from out of Europe they like to know if there are waves in the Netherlands. *there are, usually not great. Secondly people like to know if we go back a lot. Although Holland is a beautiful place, the answer is short and simple, not really. Algarve has everything that you can dream off and we are fortunate that a lot of our relatives rather come this way on their holidays to enjoy that with us. Summing up a mixed back of Surf Guide adventures and some beautiful family moments. Hopefully you enjoy the blog as much as we do. Creating more ocean memories with Surf Guide Algarve!
More than just sliding on salt water
To explain you will need to join one of the Surf Guide Algarve adventures. Words on a screen just do not seem to do it. Surfing is so much more than just standing up on a surfboard. Whenever someone sends us a message the fun starts. In order to pick the best conditions we need to know a lot about your surfing level. Most of our job is done before the moment we paddle out. We will guide you to the best waves for your level and share the stoke. In the water it is all up to you.
A very special tradition
As I have said before, our parents love the Algarve as well. Combining holiday, family and the beautiful nature all in yet another trip to Portugal. This morning I have a little solo session and we make a picture almost identical to the one we made 2 years ago on the beach of Castelejo. My dad gets a nice surf picture of my first wave and I shoot one of him in front of the famous rock. A very special tradition.
Small waves please
Generally miss Surf Guide Algarve likes small waves. Your board can be too small, the wave cant is her motto. From time to time she will paddle out in bigger stuff, but just enjoys small waves more. And she is pretty damn good at it!
