Beach break perfection at Zavial with Surf Guide Algarve
Only if you go to a beach a lot, you know exactly whats going on. As been said before, sand is changing every day and with that the sandbars change as well. In order to score good waves you need a few things. Every factor plays an equal role. First of all we need swell, height, period but also the direction matter in this one. Add the sandbank situation, plus the wind direction. Lastly the tide is very important. All in all you understand that it is very hard to predict a good wave on one beach, and we have about 20 of them. Basically this is why many people call Surf Guide Algarve for help. Today we score absolute beach break perfection at Zavial. Enjoy the rest of the story.
We would never have paddled out here without you.
As I have said above, the tide makes a huge difference in the way the waves break in the Algarve. By the time we rock up on an empty carpark at Zavial the waves appear to be very small. As a result most people turn around and do the Algarve drive. Surf Guide Algarve knows exactly what to expects and we get in the water just at the right time. One of the dudes opens up in the line-up, ‘Dude we would never have paddled out here without you and I am so stoked we did!‘
Best waves of the trip
Before the surf guide crew from Cologne called in Surf Guide Algarve for help they surf a few spots alone. With mixed results. Crowded line-ups, tricky waves, the Algarve is hard to figure out on a holiday. Stoked the dudes got the best waves of the trip so far at Zavial. Of course the best waves of the session are not recorded but we did get a few shots for the blog and not-so-social media.
