Interestingly enough, down south in the Algarve we already had a couple of epic days. Truth is that most beaches can handle a bit of swell but completely stop working with a 20 second period. User friendly waves please
While there is a handful of absolute crazy *and very experienced and skilled, boogie boarders and surfers who search for big waves. Most people are looking for somewhat more user friendly waves. Therefore we surf a spot that is flat the rest of the year.
