Algarve showing off, two sessions in one morning with Surf Guide Algarve
As been mentioned before, we will show you where to surf the best waves for your level. To be able to join the Surf Guide Algarve crew, you do not need to be a pro, but you need to be surfing independent. *and be Stoked! As long as the levels match, we take a maximum of three surfers on our guided trips. Obviously things get tricky when we have a shredder on board who wants to get barrels and a intermediate who just likes shoulder high gentle waves. Today we start the mission at Mareta in Sagres for a very mellow warm up. Following by a very heavy but beautiful surf just around the corner on the West-Coast.
A lot of fun
By al means, we go out to have fun. Fun is hard to measure, but if you are surfing, more waves generally mean more fun. With a shorter period and a gentle size the waves in Mareta are just a lot of fun. Generally we would just wrap up and go back home after a session like this. In fact, two of the three guests did. But the surf guide and one guest went for desert just around the corner…
Serious waves
The type of wave that break your board with ease. Also the wave that your dream about. Surprisingly there is not a single soul out. Most surfers prefer the more mellow waves from Mareta. But there are enough good surfers around in Portugal who would love this as well… In either case, we score some amazing serious waves on the second session of the morning. Of course there is no one to hold the camera while we are surfing so its just an empty one for you…
