Small waves Big Fun surfing Zavial with Surf Guide Algarve
Whenever there are waves, we surf. About 360 days per year. Obviously not everyday can be the best day of our life, but you can have so much fun surfing small waves! Zavial shows her friendly side two days in a row and the Surf Guide Algarve crew is all over it. Offshore wind, an almost empty line-up and fun waves, what more can you ask for?
Big or small?
Bigger is not always better, or is it? As mentioned before, the Algarve is a little bit like an island. We have roughly three different coastlines, with a whole lot of spots to choose from. Surely it will be much bigger on the West-coast, but also onshore wind. Most people will choose small clean waves over big mushy conditions. What would you prefer?
Summer is coming
Soon summer will be here. We already stashed away our shoes and sweaters, – Life is better in boardshorts right? While this may be true, the ocean temperature stays more or less the same, cold! With this in mind, we using basically the same wetsuit all year round. Occasionally there is a south west swell brining in warm water and we can surf in shorts. Our friend trunking it today in super cold water. Lasting about 10 minutes, but we get some summery pictures.
