Since the Algarve has coastlines setup almost like an island you will have offshore wind often. While this may be true, there is not so often good surf to be found there. It all starts somewhere
Every story has to start somewhere. The Surf Guide Algarve story starts roughly five years back with two guys from the Netherlands. Meanwhile considered more friends or part of the family, than guests. They still come back every time. Brining the same stoke, love and just pure joy for the surf and the place we share.
Go hard and do not go home
As much as one likes surfing, to get better you need to do practice a lot. Generally Surf Guide Guests come back one or two times per year, for one week, sometimes two. But if you cant surf back home the chances you will really get better are small. After a few months out of mother ocean you forget her flows. Therefore you will need a few sessions to get back on your old level. As shown below, the key is just to go hard and dont go home. While most others need to go back home for work and other responsibilities, these two guys just stay for months. Work remote and surf whenever they can. As a result, also getting part of the family.
