Perfect timing surfing Tonel with Surf Guide Algarve
With enormous tides, shifting sandbars and a lot of people around, it is key to be at the right spot at the right time. There are a lot of surf spots to choose from and on most days there are a few options. Where the Surf Guide Algarve adventure takes us is mainly decided by the preference of the guests in combination with the forecast. Surfing in the Algarve is super fun, if your timing is good. We hit it absolutely perfect today in Tonel. Blue sky, perfect waves, offshore wind, no one out!
What is your favorite wave?
Or, what kind of waves are you looking for? Most Surf Guide Algarve guests do not surf more than a few weeks per year. They are not looking to improve on their surfing, just enjoy the waves. Obviously the wave is the key factor. If its too big the paddle becomes a nightmare and the surf a whole lot harder. Too small and there is no thrill at all. Longboarders like a mellow longer wave where shortboarders will look for a steeper wave. Surf Guide Algarve will always try to get the best waves for your level. And in the water, it is all up to you.
Perfect timing 2,0
After a pretty long surf session the line up fills up with other surfers. Satisfied and cold I dry my hands on the towel and switch on the camera. Because of the angle of the sharp morning sun it is really hard to see who is who in the water. Pointing my focus on a random dude that starts to paddle and shoot his wave. Happens to be the last wave of the trip from our surf guide guest. Stoked.
