Empty Waves for Christmas with Surf Guide Algarve
Mariah only wants you for Christmas, and all we care about is an empty line up-with fun surf. Obviously that is not the only thing we care about. Offshore and 6 foot is nice, and if Santa can throw in some sunshine, that would be amazing. We sharing the Christmas days with a small crew of our VIP Surf Guide Algarve guests. All eager to get in the water to burn some of the extra festive calories. Enjoy the show.
You can keep your hat on
Its almost a tradition to create a Christmas greeting for the Surf Guide Algarve following. This year is difficult as mr. Surf Guide Algarve can only get back in the water 3 days before Christmas. Challenging, not impossible. Find a good looking wave, do not loose the hat before the first wave and make sure someone makes a picture. If you look at this sentence you can see there is actually quite a few things that could go wrong. First wave, first try,
After the grab-rail drop and a nice speedy section the wave closes out. The Christmas Hat no where to be found. We keep scanning the line up constantly. Feeling a bit bad for putting trash in the ocean and not sure if we already got the shot we need. More than two hours later the hat pops up.
Christmas surf
The forecast looks pretty bad for Christmas day. But we do not have a choice! We need to get a few Christmas waves! Like often times with low expectations the surf is actually super fun. Small onshore waves with the biggest smiles. *plus sunshine. Ready for another big dinner.
