Perfect user friendly Beliche with the Surf Guide Algarve crew
Normally when Beliche looks good its basically a –very experienced surfers only– kind of wave. The wave comes from very deep into shallow water and explodes with extreme force on super shallow sand. The tube or barrel that you can see only a few meters from the beach is impressive. Maybe because there is no such thing as a sign and or bouncer on the beach, surfers are free to try their luck. Broken boards and egos are no exception at Beliche. There is no really a paddle to get out either. Making it extra inviting for the less experienced surfers. If the sea goes quiet for a minute you can probably make it out with dry hair with any piece of surf equipment. But when the set approaches most find out that this place is often by no mean a user friendly wave.
It is super important to know when *not to surf the waves in Beliche. Tide, swell and direction all play huge factors in this. The Surf Guide Algarve crew scores and get some pictures to prove it.
Surf fans
One of our guests takes his whole entourage with him. His girlfriend for support, his injured surf-buddy *props for coming along watching these waves and not surf must feel double. He did take some incredible fotos with the Surf Guide sandy camera. And another friend who happens to be pretty solid with her camera.
Go hard, the camera is pointed at you
Point taken. You can say what you want but a surf picture of you surfing a wave is cool. Even if the epic moment does not look so epic as it felt in the moment. The picture reflects a very short moment of what surfing really is. In reality you only spend so little time on a wave and so much more time paddling and waiting. So when that moment of blizz and happiness is captured, its special. And you can learn from it most of the times.
