Perfect Surf Guide trip with offshore waves on the West Coast Algarve
You need a lot more for a perfect surf trip than just offshore wind. But it is a very good start. Especially in summer offshore is rare. So what more do you need? Lets start with good company. The Surf Guide Algarve crew is joined today by our VIP South African brother and an American dude from New Jersey. The American guy is on a Euro trip and can not wait to surf some Portuguese waves. His timing is epic. He surfs a 7.3 Malibu almost like a shortboard. With no one else on the beach its a perfect trip.
The waves
With a shorter period there are plenty of waves coming trough. Shoulder high on the bigger ones and just super playful. And when the sun climbs high enough over the cliff the spray begins to shoot rainbows. Because the session was not special enough yet.
After surf
We surf a very long session. Unfortunately even we get tired at some point. The focus drops a bit, the tide fills in a little too much, and obviously the shoulders scream for a break. So what does the Surf Guide Algarve crew after the surf?
