Big or small?

Is it better to be smaller when you surf? Its up to you to decide. I guess when you’re a smaller person a wave is head high more easy? Anyway I am a small guy, and most of the time I don’t mind being small. My wetsuit is slightly cheaper and mostly more colorful being childsize. Others don’t seem to intimidated by my appearance in the line up, i guess that’s another thing… But this week I met a dude who was the total opposite from me. About 2 meter tall and wide too for that matter. The most friendly dude you’ll ever meet and he gave us a tutorial how to duckdive a 7’10… Amazing.

So I guess that’s your answer; If you have the right board (and wave) it doesn’t really make much different if your big or small.
